Medically, diabetics whose sugar levels are maintained within normal limits by oral medication (not insulin) and are otherwise in good health can donate. But Blood Banks in India come under the regulatory authority of the Drug Control Department, which has made Diabetes as condition for permanent deferral. So we have to follow that rule.
